A great marketing strategy and implementation of the same leads to good results. Recently, I helped a UK company launch their services on the US market and double their turn-over year on year. Done right, marketing is an investment, not a cost!

Meet Madeleine

Experienced Marketer

I have been working with marketing on a global basis for more than 25 years, since gaining my first marketing qualification, at the School of Business and Economics at Gothenburg University. I had the privilege to work for many years at a multinational industrial company, working with different industries. This has led to an ability to delve into new industries quickly, understanding the value chains and the main players.

Understanding your customer is at the basis of all great marketing. A great marketing strategy and implementation of the same leads to good results. Recently, I helped a UK company launch their services on the US market and double their turn-over year on year. Done right, marketing is an investment, not a cost!

Excellent Communicator

A willingness to listen and asking the right questions are at the core of good communication in any situation, be it as a team manager or when uncovering customer needs.

I really enjoy interacting with people and collaborating in teams, adding value to the business. As a manager I have consistently received the highest feedback from my team members. I very much enjoy helping colleagues develop and grow. This also comes across when I facilitate courses and lead workshops, bringing out the best in everyone.

I also draw on my communication skills in my role as a correspondent. The work involved, provides an excellent way of finding out more about companies, people and their services and then putting all impressions and thoughts on paper, both literally and non-literally.

Fluent in Japanese language

My fascination with Japan started in my late teens. Born and raised in Sweden, I learned about Japanese woodblock prints in art class in high school. This led to me spending a year as an exchange student, living with a Japanese family, and attending senior high school in Wakayama, Japan.

For a long time, I saw my Japanese skills as mainly a “fun” thing. However, a few years ago, I started taking my language skills more seriously and spent some time in Tokyo to improve my Japanese, completing professional assignments while there. I then passed the highest level of the official Japanese skills test, JLPT N1, in London 2019. I also made the most of the covid period attending remote Japanese translation courses with Dalarna University, Sweden. These days, I very much enjoy using Japanese for work, at business events, or when talking to friends or watching Japanese series on Netflix.
